The Bay Theatre by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas opened in early November
Cinépolis’ new movie theater in Palisades Village debuted in early November, and it is a doozy. This company established itself by providing an exclusive movie-going experience, but The Bay Theatre by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas stepped up the menu and cocktails in the former Bay Theater which closed back in 1978.
Mega-developer Rick Caruso announced Cinépolis’ addition to Palisades Village last June. The Bay Theater was originally built in 1948, and now boasts five screens, with a rare 35 mm projector, a lobby bar, and huge leather reclining seats. A server will appeal with a push of a button, too.
The menu goes beyond Cinépolis’ casual menu items by incorporating fresh ingredients, along with vegan and vegetarian options exclusive to this location. Moviegoers can choose from truffle fries, Thai spring rolls, edamame, fresh donuts, caramel churros, or a Kobe burger.
Cocktail veer toward the classics, with margaritas, Old-Fashioneds, gimlets, and gin and tonics. Everything can be ordered via staff or mobile app. If the Cinépolis menu doesn’t appeal, Palisades Village vendors include Hank’s, Blue Ribbon Sushi, and the forthcoming Tocaya Organica.
This is the twenty first location for Cinépolis throughout the U.S. Ticket prices are steep and range from $23.50 to $27 for grownups, and $20.50 to $24.50 for children.
