How Do You See God Moving in America through What Many are Calling a Revival of Faith, a New Jesus Revolution in the Marketplace?
Krystal Parker
President, US Christian Chamber of Commerce
“The marketplace is absolutely alive right now. People are finally recognizing that there is no separation between their spiritual lives and their work.
They’re using business as a force for good — to reach people and advance the Kingdom.
At U.S. Christian Chambers, our mission is simple: advance the Kingdom through the marketplace, strengthen Christian businesses, and transform communities. We put “advance the Kingdom” first because so many people have believed this lie that you’re either in ministry or in business — but you can’t do both.
We’re standing on the shoulders of pioneers who were talking about marketplace ministry before it was popular — and they were often viewed as radical. Billy Graham once said that the next great move of God would come through believers in the marketplace, and we’re seeing that now.
A Christian CEO or business leader has 840 times more opportunity to reach the unchurched than a pastor speaking for 30 minutes on Sunday. Business leaders understand systems, numbers, movements — but for years, many believed ministry was the church’s job.
That’s changing.
As the church has evolved, business leaders are leaning in and saying, “I can use my business as a platform for the Kingdom.” Organizations
like C12, Unconventional Business Network, U.S. Christian Chambers, Convene, Truth at Work, Pinnacle Forum, and Iron Forums are connecting Scripture to leadership in powerful ways.
Once people connect their head and heart, they realize the Great Commission is for them — not just for pastors. And when that happens, you can’t stop them.
We’re seeing business owners baptizing people at work, leading people to Christ through their companies, and discipling others through everyday interactions. There’s no separation anymore — business is ministry.
This isn’t a trend. It’s a movement. It’s a tsunami of faith sweeping through the marketplace.”

“I started working in the faith-at-work space about 30 years ago. I didn’t realize it then, but God had called me to be a pioneer because almost no one was talking about this at the time. For many years, it was hard ground. People didn’t understand what I was trying to communicate.
But over the last five years, I’ve seen a real groundswell of ministries across the country focused on helping people integrate faith and work. They each serve different niches, but together they’re impacting the marketplace in meaningful ways.
Today, it’s much easier to speak to audiences where people understand that their faith has something to do with their work and God’s calling on their lives. People are becoming bolder. They’re learning not to compartmentalize their lives—keeping Sunday and Monday separate—but to live out their faith fully.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners are especially powerful in this movement because they’re influencers. They have employees, customers, vendors, and communities watching them. When they take a stand, it creates a ripple effect that touches entire families.
I’d encourage them not to hide their light under a bushel basket. This is the season to be bold for God. You don’t need to compartmentalize your faith and your work. Let people know who you stand for and who you work for.”

“Christians in the marketplace are learning the true meaning of vocation as a calling from the Lord. There is no separation of “secular” or “sacred” for any follower of Jesus – as the Lord is the Lord of all of our life, or as Abraham Kuyper says – “‘There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign overall, does not cry, Mine!”
Martin Luther once said that the milkmaid can milk cows to the glory of the Lord. And that is true no matter where we are called in our daily work. We are called to love our neighbor – and one of the big ways we love our neighbor is through our work.
Lawyers love their neighbor by giving them access to justice or making sure justice is served. The Biblical understanding of calling and vocation encourages individuals to reach out to those around them with the love of Jesus, whether it is by putting a verse on a drinking cup, giving people Sunday off, or just smiling and caring for the person in front of you or the worker next to you. The Jesus revolution is not that more people are going to church, but that we know Jesus and His Word. His love is not bound by one building on one day of the week, but that we are the arms and feet of his Kingdom in all walks of life. As a result, marketplace ministries like CLS or so many more are exploding in attendance as stock brokers, politicians, engineers, doctors, and so many more are meeting to pray, encourage, and seek the Lord’s hand in their daily work and lives.”
