Brandie Barclay Empowering Women Through Faith

Before the PowerSoul movement existed—before her curated gatherings and Spirit-led leadership—Brandie Barclay helped women refine what they saw in the mirror. She spent years in the aesthetics industry, working for plastic surgeons and in luxury spas.

But the more time she spent with women, the more she realized something deeper was missing. “I have such a heart for women. Especially for the Christian woman who loves God, believes in God, and still is struggling, or white-knuckling it through life, because that’s what I did for a really long time,” she says.

Eight years ago, everything shifted during a women’s conference. Surrounded by ambition and “boss babe” energy, she sensed a gap between the drive for success and true spiritual fulfillment. She recalls, “The Lord spoke to me in a bathroom at a women’s event and said to me, ‘They’re leaving me out.’ And suddenly it became clear to me. There were 300 women in that room sitting on the edge of their seats, looking for more, looking for power for their souls. That’s when I knew the Lord was calling me to speak.”

In that moment, touching up her lipstick, she made a quiet commitment to the Lord, saying, “Okay, Father, when I speak I won’t leave you out.” Within months, she left her career, stepping into the unknown. “I knew that it was Him guiding me,” she says. Even amid uncertainty, she discovered something transformative: the power of the Holy Spirit. “I knew God the Father. I knew Jesus, my Savior. But I did not understand that I was still trying to do everything myself. It wasn’t until I understood the Holy Spirit, and that we could come weak and invite Him to have His way with us, that the real adventure in Christ begins,” she says.

From that revelation, the PowerSoul movement was born, a space between church and culture. “I really felt led to be in the gap space between church and the world,” she says. Her gatherings are intentional and reviving. Brandie’s up- coming book, POWERSOUL: LIT FROM WITHIN, expands on the same message, inviting women to move beyond performative Christianity and encounter the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in everyday life.

Brandie is clear about her vision for authentic faith. “Performative faith is not what God is wanting from us; He wants an authentic relationship,” she says. “It should look different for everybody.” For her, real faith is relational, not rehearsed or obligation-driven. “Submission to God is actually the easiest place to be,” she says.

In a generation flooded with comparison, anxiety, and identity confusion, she believes a new faith movement is unfolding. “I believe a Jesus revolution is happening. Everything is changing,” she says. Her advice to women afraid to start their journey? “Stop trying to do this life by yourself. You can just get alone with God and ask him for courage.”

Today, the PowerSoul movement gathers women through curated experiences, teaching and community focused on identity, spiritual authority and life led by the Holy Spirit.

At the heart of Brandie’s work is a radical, gentle invitation. “Empty out to fill up with the power of God,” she says. In a culture that celebrates hustle and highlight reels, Brandie Barclay is inviting women into something quieter and far more powerful.
