Letter From the Editor-in-Chief
There are moments in history when something greater than human planning begins to unfold. This special issue of L.A. STYLE Magazine is one of those moments. What you hold in your hands was not created through editorial meetings or publishing schedules alone. It was inspired through prayer, obedience, and the unmistakable prompting of the Holy Spirit.
The article that follows, titled The Original Jesus Revolution, reflects on the powerful revival of the 1970s that swept across America and shows how we are now witnessing the beginning of that same kind of spiritual awakening in our time. What began decades ago through a generation seeking truth is now rising again across churches, communities, the next generation, and increasingly throughout the marketplace as people earnestly seek and boldly proclaim the name of Jesus.
This issue is deeply personal to me for several reasons. One of the featured articles is written by my husband, Joseph Trujillo, whom I married nearly two years ago. His partnership, leadership, and encouragement helped make this special issue possible. Together, through prayer, sacrifice, and shared conviction, we stepped forward in obedience to bring this vision to life.
Another powerful story included in this issue is my mother’s testimony of a radical encounter with God that forever changed the course of her life. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs that when a child is trained in the way of the Lord, they will not depart from it. Although my own journey included seasons where I stepped into the world and even explored New Age beliefs, the roots of faith planted in my life ultimately brought me back to Christ. Today I stand fully submitted and surrendered to God and His will, and the obedience behind releasing this special issue is part of that journey.
Our church family has also played a significant role in shaping the heart behind this issue. My husband and I are members of Oceans Church here in Orange County, where we have witnessed an evangelistic movement spreading with extraordinary momentum through their leadership of a record-breaking synchronized baptism initiative that has now expanded worldwide.
This issue also highlights ministries making a powerful impact for the Kingdom. Mercy Culture’s Justice Reform is helping those rescued from human trafficking find freedom, healing, and the resources needed to begin a new life. We also highlight Ankit and Jessica Pinnadari, founders of ARB Ministries, who poured into Hollywood at the end of 2025 with a massive crusade where thousands came to the Lord and many experienced healing. Throughout Scripture we see that the Gospel has always advanced through partnership between the church and the marketplace. One of the most well known examples is Lydia, a successful businesswoman who supported the ministry of the early church and helped advance the message of Christ. In the same way, entrepreneurs, business owners, influencers, and leaders across industries have a unique opportunity to share the Good News with people who exist outside the walls of the church. Quite frankly, many individuals will never step into a church because of past hurts, experiences, or misconceptions unless they first encounter someone willing to speak with them where they already are. As marketplace leaders, we become that bridge.
Across the pages of this special issue you will meet individuals living out that calling. In the wellness industry, Chelsea and John Jubilee recently witnessed more than 150 people come to salvation during a single Zoom call after openly sharing their faith. Danya Brooks, founder of Selah Grace, has created a luxury women’s fitness studio that incorporates Scripture and worship music throughout the day, creating a sanctuary for the mind, body, and spirit. Nathan and Taylor Mansfield, through their gym Iron Forge, host worship gatherings, baptisms, and discipleship that help people strengthen not only their bodies but their spiritual lives as well. We had no traditional print advertisers in this issue. Instead, it was backed by an army of Christian business leaders and ministries who said yes to the call to link arms with us and join in sponsorship to release this issue as a powerful evangelical tool. Many of them, through the pages of this issue and their stories, are making a public declaration for the first time that the foundation of their businesses is faith in Christ Jesus.
From a local California perspective, as well as a national and global one, the year 2026 carries significant spiritual weight. As Paula White describes within these pages, even our President has spoken about rededicating our nation to the Lord as America approaches its 250th anniversary. Spiritually, 2026 holds a historic significance that is difficult to fully capture in words. From the movement of Baptize the World launching on Pentecost Sunday to global events such as the Olympics and the World Cup taking place here in California, the eyes of the world are turning toward this region in a remarkable moment in time. This year also marks the 120th anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival in California, a moment that ignited one of the most influential spiritual movements in modern church history.
Beyond those featured in these pages, many other voices across the nation are boldly proclaiming the name of Jesus in this generation. Movements like Girls Gone Bible, Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell’s church 2819, and the growing impact on college campuses through leaders such as Tonya Prewett are part of a powerful resurgence of faith unfolding across America. Together, these voices represent a new wave of bold believers rising within this generation and helping ignite what we are witnessing as a renewed spiritual awakening.
In this issue we also dedicate a special section to the next generation. Members of Generation Alpha, Generation Z, and Millennials share how they see God moving in America through this new revival unfolding. While the issue opens with the wisdom of respected faith leaders, it closes with the voices of those who will carry the torch forward.
For too long the world has attempted to discredit this generation. Yet God calls them chosen. Their hunger for truth, authenticity, and a genuine relationship with God is one of the clearest signs that this revolution of faith is spreading among them.
This is why we are calling this moment a New Jesus Revolution.
For L.A. STYLE Magazine, this special issue represents one of the most meaningful things we have ever done. It is a bold declaration of faith released from Los Angeles to the world, shining a light on the name above every name, Jesus Christ. Originally founded in the 1980s as a publication reflecting the influence and lifestyle of Los Angeles, L.A. STYLE now enters a new chapter under new ownership. Through the partnership of my husband and me, and under the leading of the Holy Spirit, the magazine is stepping into a renewed purpose. What once reflected worldly influence now stands as a platform to boldly proclaim faith in Jesus while highlighting excellence in fashion, luxury lifestyle, and leadership.
In many ways, this issue marks a new beginning. It represents a publication where faith is not separated from influence, but where believers step forward to shape and impact the world around them. We are honored to say yes to the call of stewarding and proudly proclaiming this to be the fi rst luxury lifestyle and fashion publication to openly stand on a foundation of faith.
L.A. STYLE now shines the love and light of Jesus from Los Angeles to the world.
And this is only the beginning.
