Rich & Fabulous: Featuring Jessica Rich
Fashion mogul and self-made entrepreneur Jessica Rich has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. When asked about her inspiration and design process, Jessica revealed, “Considering that I basically am self-taught when it comes to designing, I have always continuously pushed myself to evolve past my comfort level.” She recognizes the importance of comfortability for women and aims to introduce sexy flats as an alternative to heels, stating, “I’m focusing on new ways to introduce comfortability for the women who not only want to be in heels but also want a sexy flat sometimes.”
Beyond following trends, Jessica follows her instincts to create designs that resonate with the market. She says, “I don’t really follow what the world forecasts as far as colors and styles and things like that for the next season. I just do whatever I feel as though the marketplace needs at that time.” Her ability to anticipate and meet consumer demands has contributed to her continued success.
When it comes to business, Jessica has learned valuable lessons over the years. She acknowledges the highs and lows, saying, “There will be good days and they will be bad days. As much as I have had success in this business, I’ve also had failure. Most people would never really know because as a CEO, you have to always hold it together. But I’ve had just as many losses as I have had wins.” Her resilience and determination have helped her overcome challenges and keep moving forward.
Reflecting on her journey, Jessica imparts wisdom to her younger self, emphasizing the importance of balance. She shares, “In the midst of building my brand over the last 5 years, I wish I would’ve been more sensitive to spend more quality time with my family. It was very hard in the moment building a company, but those times I can’t get back. I have to now catch up and try to be present in the now more, but even then, it’s still too late sometimes.” Her experience serves as a reminder to prioritize what truly matters.
As a person of influence, Jessica believes in setting an example for others and being a positive reflection of success. She explains, “It means that you have to set the example for others out there and set the bar where you feel as though others should be that are trying to be where you are. We are never perfect, but we have to always be positive and be a reflection of what we feel is necessary to be successful in the marketplace.”
