How Do You See God Moving in America through what Many are Calling a Revival of Faith — A New Jesus Revolution?
Micah & Melissa Lunsford, Oceans Church Youth Pastors
“The next generation is hungry for what is authentic — they want an authentic encounter with the real Jesus. We’ve seen that students and young adults in the next generation — Gen Z and Gen Alpha — are not coming for hype. They’re coming to be encountered by something Holy.
Yet we’re seeing something genuine in young people. When they turn their eyes to Jesus, they’re truly searching. They’re not just responding at an altar or to a message — they’re encountering the real person of Jesus.
The revival we’re seeing is not just hype — not just a pastor declaring revival or a church having long services. We’re seeing young people having authentic encounters with the living God. Out of that has come a revival of spirit and soul because they’re tending to the person of Jesus.
How is God moving in America? Through authentic, real relationships. Jesus was so central during the Jesus Revolution because it was about Him. And I think now the pendulum is swinging back to where it has to be about Jesus again.”
Melanie & Joel Foust, Oceans Church Young Adults Pastors
From what we have seen in our community, it is undeniable that there is a hunger for what is authentic. Many people in their 20’s and 30’s are growing tired of what is false or fabricated, and are looking for something genuine and real.
For years we have seen certain agendas propagated through the media, culture and even politics. Agendas that sound like liberty and freedom, but at their core are antithetical to the biblical world view. However as time has gone on, we have begun to see a shift among young adults! Many have come to the end of themselves and in a last attempt have turned to Jesus and have truly encountered and been transformed by His power and love. We have seen countless physical miracles, people’s minds being healed from tormenting thoughts, and have seen JOY overwhelm people who were once bound in depression and heaviness!
People want to hear the truth. They want the raw and they are hungry to see God move in power! Our generation has become deeply spiritual, and we believe that they have a desire to connect with something beyond what is tangible. More and more adults are becoming aware that true fulfillment is not found in connecting with the crystals, nature, the universe, or any other “deity”, but in going to the source and connecting with the CREATOR of the universe: JESUS.
Chloe Delk, Oceans Church Kids Pastor
My testimony inspired me to write two books on identity and authority. Through teaching college students, serving in my local church, and preaching the gospel on high school campuses, I’m witnessing a powerful hunger for God in the next generation. Young people are tired of confusion around identity—they want to know who made them and why they’re here. More than ever, they’re seeking truth and purpose. It’s inspiring to watch students encounter Jesus, discover who they were made to be, and begin living out the purpose they were created for.
Jason Jackson Jr. - Christian Content Creator & Social Media Influencer — Generation Z
What I’ve noticed is that the move of God within this next generation has really given birth to a group of people who are unashamed of their faith. It’s very rare to come across a Christian, and especially young Christians, who are unapologetically following Christ and are bold about it. Previously Christians would typically shy away from the idea of voicing their religious beliefs because they would be afraid of offending people. Now I see people sharing their faith who are my age and younger than me. And it’s not a sense of fear. It’s a sense of, “this is who I am.” And all my life I’ve had to accept who you were. Now you’re going to accept me, whether you want to or not.
So it’s just really created an environment of security for a lot of Christians. I even think that millennials and the generations before us are starting to see it. Now they are stepping up to the plate and saying I believe the same thing. And I can tell itmakes people uncomfortable, but there is definitely a move of God that’s happening right now that I’ve never seen before. I believe that this generation through digital media and technology would be in scripture if it was still being written. A lot of the stuff we are about to experience would be in the Bible. I say that with full conviction.
Bruna Olmeda, Christian Singer & Songwriter — Generation Z
I truly believe we’re witnessing a spiritual awakening in America. There’s a hunger for truth and authentic faith that feels different from what I’ve seen before. Across the country, people, especially young people are boldly talking about Jesus. It feels less about religion and more about real relationship. The Holy Spirit has been moving in powerful ways through the younger generation! More people are repenting and turning away from their sinful ways of living and choosing to follow Jesus.
In Hollywood, I see God moving in a quieter but powerful way. More artists, actors, and influencers are becoming unashamed about their faith and open about their testimonies. There’s a shift happening where conversations about God aren’t being dismissed as easily, they’re being welcomed. I’ve seen people behind the scenes asking for prayer, starting Bible studies, and using their platforms to share light in places that have long felt spiritually dark.
To me, this “new Jesus Revolution” isn’t about hype, it’s about hearts turning back to God. I believe the most powerful part of this movement is that it’s not confined to church walls, it’s happening in homes, on college campuses, in the entertainment industry, and in everyday conversations.
The Holy Spirit is moving in a powerful way amongst this nation and in Hollywood.
Matt Cruz, Evangelist — Generation Z
“There is a powerful move of the Holy Spirit in this hour. God is extending the biggest altar call the world has ever seen. We are witnessing athletes boldly profess the name of Jesus, Christian films filling theaters, unprecedented numbers coming to salvation, the saved being revived, and a younger generation hungry for the real Jesus of the Bible. They are done with a gospel of convenience that centers on self-improvement rather than self- denial. Christianity is not about becoming a better version of ourselves - it is about becoming a more accurate reflection of Christ.”
Xavier Emmanuel Grunauer — Generation Alpha/Generation Z
“I see God moving in the media. Before, you wouldn’t really see it very much. At times on TV, during big moments when people would say something about God, they would cut away from it. Sometimes people would start to say it, and then the camera would move off the person. Not that they completely cut it out, but they would shift the camera away. But now I’m starting to see it even in big places like the Grammys and in the news. That’s where I’m starting to see that God is moving through the media.”
Savannah Houston — Generation Z
“I am seeing God move in such a powerful way throughout the younger generation. People have realized that relying on their own strength will lead them back to the destructive ways of the world, leaving them broken. But with God, they find they can be restored and whole, and that they have a plan and purpose in Jesus. There is a hunger and desire to see God move not only in our schools, but across the nation. I’m excited to see how God moves in and through this generation! ”
Kenzington Francey — Generation Z
I see God moving in America through a generation that has grown up surrounded by noise and yet is deeply hungry for truth. My generation was often labeled distracted, hopeless, or apathetic, but beneath the surface there is a growing desire for something real. After witnessing epidemics, political division, and constant digital pressure, many young people are beginning to realize that success, trends, and algorithms cannot satisfy the soul. That hunger is leading people back to Jesus. What some thought would be the generation of no faith may actually become the one that rediscovers faith, authenticity, and the transforming power of the Gospel in a new and authentic way.
Jadon Radke — Generation Z
I see God stirring a deeper hunger for truth in my generation. Many of us grew up in a world full of empty noise, anxiety, and shifting values, and it’s pushing people to search for something real and unshakable. I see God moving through those of us young people who aren’t just interested in cultural Christianity, but in genuinely following Jesus with conviction. This new Jesus Revolution, will be marked by authenticity—people wanting a real relationship with God, not just religion.
Azria Acosta — Generation Z
I see God moving in the hearts of Gen-Z on school campuses around our nation as young people are hungry for a supernatural encounter. With the chaos going on in our world I see more of my generation turning to Hesus for hope and refuge. Many young people are waking up to the fact that eternity is a real place and I see that with so many ministries finally uniting this generation is coming to Jesus. Many who would be the “least likely” to come to the Lord are and it’s because they are all realizing that they need something that fills them in a way that material things never did. In this generation, many have already tried all that the world has to offer and with everything at our fingertips, many have seen that God remains the same and is the only stable thing on this world. With the Body of Christ coming together and getting the good news into school campuses and areas where young people are, I have seen my generation fall in love with their creator.
Victoria Verruto — Generation Z
I believe the rise of faith among Millennials and Gen Z comes from a deep hunger for something eternal. We’ve seen what the world has to offer, and we’re realizing that it isn’t enough. My generation is desperate for truth, real love, and something that actually lasts. That hunger isn’t just for answers or purpose. It is for relationship. That desire for intimacy with God is what is fueling the rise of faith we are seeing. When people look at Millennials and Gen Z, they often assume we are a failed generation. But I believe God is doing the opposite. Throughout history, God has used the people others doubted, and I believe He is doing the same with this generation. I believe this will not be an ordinary awakening, but an awakening filled with power and authority that will shake the planet. It will light a fire that will not burn out. It will only grow stronger.
We are not a failed generation.
We will arise, no longer victims but victors.
Because our God is victorious.
Malakai Martinez — Generation Z
God is moving in this generation. In a time where we’re flooded with content, media, and entertainment. The problem is not a lack of knowledge as it may have been in generations past, it is now a decision of what truth you believe? I believe this is a generation that is truly searching for THE truth. John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life” Jesus does not say He is a way, He is the way. Which is so beautiful to see so many crying out for something true, something authentic. They are coming to the conclusion that Jesus is the way and the only satisfaction to the human heart. Fame, followers, and money have been found much faster due to social media, streaming, etc. but nothing has brought fulfillment like Jesus does. Those who seek Him find Him (Jer. 29:13). Jesus is coming back for those who choose Him and desire Him and Generation Z is the generation that will desire Him above everything else.
Katie Stanley — Generation Z
God is turning on the light for those who are searching, particularly among the younger generations during this window of time. Amid growing up in a world filled with immediate gratification, youths are quickly learning that Jesus is the only thing that will truly satisfy their souls. Every other road, even good things, does not fulfill if Jesus is not the central guiding force of your life. Currently, we are seeing a generation and a nation unashamed of the Gospel, experiencing the miracles of God touching down to Earth because their hearts are bent toward Him.
Penelope Amor Trujillo — Generation Alpha
I see God moving through miracle, signs and wonders, and by God’s love and voice.
Justine Huber — Generation Y
I see God moving so heavily in this time. There is a REAL HUNGER for truth and revival is here. God is doing a new thing and raising up His people in this hour! The hearts of Millennials and Gen Z alike are on fire for God and the gospel is being preached all over social media, reaching people across the nation to the ends of the earth! I am seeing miracles, signs, and wonders, and God is getting all the glory! Where people seek for truth, Jesus is found.
